The Brief: Create a space that reflects a modern family’s personality.
Requirements: To merge a contemporary aesthetic with historic bones.

This South County Dublin Edwardian home has been transformed into a celebration of contemporary living where bold color meets refined transitional design. Tasked with creating a space that reflects a modern family’s personality, we focused on the sculptural shapes of the lighting and a bespoke kitchen to serve as the heart of the home.

The extension creates a seamless flow to the garden, while the original reception room remains a tranquil retreat linked by elegant steel-framed doors. Merging a contemporary aesthetic with historic bones, rich dark oak contrasts with warm marble and tactile walls. Punctuated by courageous accents of berry, dusky pinks and rich dark timber, the result is a refined, light-filled sanctuary where space and materials blend harmoniously.
